Career Conversations Train the Trainer Online [OPEN]
Gain the skills, license and materials to deliver the AO Career Conversations Programmes
In today’s business world, organisations need to take a new approach to career management. It is no longer realistic for organisations to offer lifetime security to employees. Nor is it realistic to expect lifetime commitment from them. More than ever, the organisation-employee relationship is a partnership. Career Management strategies need to reconcile the differing needs of organisations and employees. Managers and employees need to have meaningful career conversations. And organisations need to create a culture which values learning and professional development.
The Career Conversations Train the Trainer Programme will help you develop the internal capability to do that. It will provide you with the skills, confidence and resources to deliver the Confident Career Conversations Workshop to managers.
This certification programme is specifically designed for trainers, coaches, consultants, managers, HR and Learning professionals who wish to build practical career conversation skills within an organisation.
Benefits of the Career Conversations Train the Trainer Programme
The Career Conversations Train the Trainer Programme will help you:
- Develop the skills and confidence you need to put in place career management strategies
- Deliver Career Conversations training to managers
- Empower employees to take ownership for their professional development
- Help employees prepare for career conversations with their manager and others
- Build scalable programmes linked to your business strategy or integrated with your own content.
- Access a professional community and resources for ongoing support and professional development

"'The career conversation model empowers employees by being based on solutions, clients' strengths and on the future. Accelerated learning methods motivate and bring about behavioural change. Participants walk away with a practical toolkit they can start using right away. Most useful for trainers is that they know how to address the challenge of those resistant to change"
- Head of Career Planning & Communication, Career Management, UNHCR
What we cover
A pre-requisite of participating in the Career Conversations Train the Trainer Programme is that participants have completed the Confident Career Conversations Programme.
The Career Conversations Train the Trainer Programme is a 4-module Programme:
Module 1 - You will learn how to influence behaviour change and the principles underpinning new skill development.
Module 2 - You will understand the Solutions Focus practices that help influence behaviour change. These principles underpin the design of the Career Conversations programme.
Module 3 - You will discover the brain-friendly learning principles that make learning engaging and effective
Module 4 - You will explore how to engage participants and facilitate online learning discussions.

“I really appreciated learning the different stages of behavioural change. This is very important for the Managers who have over the years been seen as ‘bad’ Managers. They could be supported and the change would be beneficial to the organization, the manager, staff and the persons of concern, resulting from the conducive working atmosphere achieved through behavioural change.”
- Programme Manager, Talent Development Division, UNHCR

"I loved the personal practice and experience. I feel more confident as a result. The brain-friendly approaches make the training much more enjoable and effective! The structured approach and booklet for each day will really help when I am delivering the workshops. And it was great to learn from the facilitators' experience in the field."
